From permission to attention
Monitoring starts with a person choosing what Proofling may watch. Every later step stays tied to that selected profile and project.
Authorize
A Proofling Owner or Admin connects Google through its OAuth screen, then selects only the Business Profile locations Proofling may monitor.
Monitor
Where Google notifications can coexist, Review Watch listens for new and updated reviews. Otherwise, scheduled checks provide a safe fallback.
Investigate
A qualifying review can trigger a generic email immediately. Optional customer verification runs separately and never delays the alert.
Provider-content clock
Google-provided review content is scheduled for purge at 29 days. Seeing the same unchanged review again does not restart that clock.
Retention window
29 days
Clear boundaries
Review Watch is built to help a team notice and investigate. It does not turn provider data into Proofling’s permanent content.
Proofling uses customer-authorized provider APIs. It does not scrape Google reviews or work around provider controls.
Google-provided review content is scheduled for deletion at 29 days and is not kept as a long-term review history.
Review Watch helps a team investigate and prepare its response. It does not publish replies automatically.
Proofling does not invent likelihood percentages or infer suspicion from a reviewer display name.
Proofling has applied for Google Business Profile API access. The production connection stays disabled until Google approves the exact customer-authorized monitoring, alerting, processing, and retention use case.
